Plano ISD seeks to create a safe place for students, free from crime, violence, drugs and abuse. There are many opportunities for parents and community parents to get involved! Your help is needed!
Become a PTA Member
Becoming a PTA member is the easiest way to get involved. We won't ask you to sign up for anything you don't want to do. This is the simplest way to support the many programs we provide for our students throughout the year without having to worry about time commitments, being overworked, or anything else.
Complete a Background Check with PISD
All parents and friends interested in volunteering must have a current background check on file with Plano ISD. You may now sign up using the Online Volunteer Application.

Select your Areas of Interest
Everyone has their own unique interests. We have many different areas of volunteering for you to choose from. Complete the Volunteer Areas of Interest Form and let us know what you would like to help with.
Now the ball is in our court! Once you have completed these 3 steps, we will contact you for opportunities in your area of interest as they come up. If you are super eager to get involved, contact 4thVP@hughtsonpta.org. Thanks for your help! Hughston is an incredible school because of you!
